Three Visitors = Weekend of Fun

G'Day Mate. I bring this update on a three day weekend of fun with three friends I met in Cairns. If you are a little rusty on your geography, take a good look at the map on the right. The highlighted dots is what you are looking for.

What better way to start off a weekend than to celebrate my birthday. I didn't get a proper celebration on Monday, who's bright idea is to have school in August? I've always had great summer filled B-Days. What started as a social gathering turned into a surprise party for me. The girls surprised me with a birthday cake that tasted just like froot loops. Most delicious cake I have ever had in my life.

Street Performers, Opera House, and Kangaroo Burgers

A tin man once told me, I'm gonna be a big star one day in the porn industry. This tin man here is the person I thank every day since I met him on Saturday. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have known my potential. Thank you random street performer, for the good laugh and the histarical pictures.

With the pictures to the right, you can see the two iconic masterpieces of Australia; the bay bridge and the Sydney Opera House. Not many people in the world get to experience such a sight, I am truly blessed in seeing this up and close in person. Walking across the bridge was pretty intense. I dont have any
pictures to show you at the moment, but take me on trust on this one. People seem to like to go for a deep dive from the bridge. They have a fense and barb wires to make sure "no one" has too much fun on the side. More news will be on the way regarding inside. I'll eventually see a show there, so stay tuned for the update on the accoustics on the inside and the beauty!

Burger me up baby, because I'm ready for something new. After our two and a half hour adventure around the bridge and opera house; we decided to head over to Manly and get a famous kangaroo burger. I basically thought, why not; eat the native animal and have something cute in my belly. Is it wrong to eat cute things? I think only if there are many of them around. So, I dont feel too bad. If you ever get the chance and in Manly for burgers, go for it; they are insanely tasty and chewy. The best part in that burger and fry combo was the fries. They are to die for! I dont' know what they put on them, but I am sure it's not legal.

My friends are such tree huggers. Why are they my friends again?

I love ruining perfectly good pictures. I personally think it came out pretty good. This one goes out to my friend in Texas. Y'all know who it is.
Being from Nevada and all, I decided to test my skills on the pole. I don't think it was going so well......so I asked a little help from a friend.

Hope you guys enjoyed reading through my adventure. Have any requests, feel free to send me an email at gviz275@gmail.com Thank you guys for looking at the blog, more to come as more things happen.

Cheers Mate

Birthday and update

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes, definitely felt welcomed here when everyone noticed it was my big day. The one thing I never expected to do is go to school on my birthday, was definitely something new for me. Having birthdays in the summer is suppose to mean no school. All I did for my birthday yesterday was go out for cocktails with a few friends. Nothing too special, but the real party will be this weekend.

I have completed one week in school and I am in a completely different world than back at SNC. One of my classes (psychology) is the size of the school itself. As amazing as it is, it put me back a few notches. I am now not only a student, but a number and a statistic.

Stay tuned, more is to come.

Its been due for quite some time...

What's going on mate? It's been way to long for this thing to be desolate, I finally bring to you an update of my travels here in Australia! I have been at the mercy of Vodafone for internet, just as I bought it, they were doing maintenance on their towers.

So for the jist of it, I have been here in Australia for two and a half weeks. All I can say is WOW! My first week here I chilled in Cairns with the AustraLearn group. Was a lot of fun. My time there was well spent as I dived into the unknown culture with everyone else. We were explained customs here in studying, how grades are managed, to how to socialize with everyone. One of the big things is Aussies definitely like to tease and have fun, and I mean a lot of fun.

My first week I chilled in Cairns. When I arrived there, it was pretty warm, 80 degree weather. Was absolutely perfect! I almost regretted taking my winter clothes due to how warm it was. But hanging out there was pretty sweet. Got to see the rain forest, plant some trees, throw a boomerang, and see the great barrier reef. Twas a lot of fun.

Onto last week now. I arrived in Sydney airport on the 18th. There really isn't too much to report here except I have no car for transportation. I stocked up on food and supplies for my apartment and learning the public transport system here. It can be very frustrating. I have learned one street here, which has a lot of cool shops and things to do. Other than that, I went down to downtown and explored and found the Opera House, which is pretty sick! Meeting new peeps and enjoying the time.

I'll upload all the other pictures some other time. Hopefully, this will get you guys by for the meantime. Have a great day Mates!
